My first blog post
Ciao how exciting!
I finally have my own website and a little blog where I can share my passion for writing and the world of vegetables with people from all over the world (including children!).
Yes, because ever since I was little, these two things have always fascinated me deeply.
I grew up with my grandmother since my mom was a single parent and often had to work on weekends.
With my beloved grandmother, Anna, I discovered the joys of gardening.
I can proudly say that I never ate supermarket vegetables until my teenage years—not because I wanted to be different, but simply because it wasn’t our habit. Back then, we grew our own food and ate what nature provided.
Me and my beautiful Nonna Anna.
And no, I’m not 90 years old! I just turned 30. Strange, isn’t it? To think that only twenty years ago, eating from the garden and following the seasons was the norm.
Some of my dearest memories are tied to that garden: shelling peas next to my grandmother, eating more than I put in the bowl, or picking plump, red tomatoes. I would get so excited when the little yellow flowers appeared, eagerly waiting for them to turn into juicy fruit.
I treasure these memories because they shaped my deep love for the world of vegetables and food.
And it’s from these memories that I built the career I love—teaching children to appreciate and enjoy vegetables.
This is exactly what I hope to share with you through these posts. I want to take you on this incredible journey to discover the endless gifts that nature provides… and oh, how delicious they are!
Here, you’ll find forgotten stories, the origins of iconic dishes, and the journey of vegetables from farm to table—even those vegetables we see every day at the supermarket, the ones many of us dream of growing in our own gardens.
Dear parents, I want to help you inspire your children to embrace healthy eating, just as my dear grandmother did for me with love and patience. I’ll be sharing recipes, tips, and the many benefits of the plant-based world. I’m also working on an online course just for you, so you can explore this journey together with your little ones.
Food is about community, connection, and love.
All it takes is a little practice, and together, we can make it easier and more fun.
Are you ready for this delicious adventure? 🍅🥕🌿
